Pilates — Why Do It?

Pilates is a functional exercise. That's why top athletes do Pilates along with their other strength training exercises, to increase their range of motion, enhance their strength, and most importantly, to prevent injury.

Pilates teaches the body to move in a more functionally correct manner. Posture improves. Balance improves. Strength returns and flexbility is gained. The lungs grow stronger, resulting in increased oxygen and blood to the muscles and tissues.
